NOAA (National Ocean Service) is an agency that enriches life through science and in this series we explore the economic nature at work, such as externalities and marginal utility. NOAA’s products and services support economic vitality and impact more than one-third of America’s GDP. Such products and services range from climate monitoring with daily weather forecasts/warnings to coastal management/restoration supporting marine commerce to provide citizens, planners, emergency managers and other decision makers with reliable up-to-date information.
